update

gitto update

Replaces the running script with what https://gitto.13e7.co/gitto serves, after checking that what arrived parses. GITTO_SOURCE_URL points it somewhere else.

gitto 0.2.0 -> 0.3.0 at /Users/you/.local/bin/gitto

When it refuses

A script that is a symbolic link into a checkout already follows whatever that checkout holds, so replacing it would break the link rather than update anything. Pull in the checkout instead.

The plugin carries its own copy, which each client updates on its own: claude plugin update gitto@13e7, or for Codex, codex plugin marketplace upgrade 13e7 followed by a remove and add.

Copies older than this command

update arrived in 0.3.0, so anything older prints the usage when asked for it. Run the install line again, which replaces the script whatever version it holds.
